Clean up time continues.
Found a nice one today from Gordon. It’s a rehearsal take I believe.

A true classic from Gordon. This is for the Splinter’s page.
Recorded after the breakup of Hardwood Falls, this track features some of Bathurst’s finest musicians; Chris McCusker on bass and Dave Fitzgerald on electric, to name a few. I’ll leave it up to Gordon to add the rest of the story. This has to be one of my early post Hardwood Falls favorites.

From the same series of recordings under the Arc at Earth Media Studios featuring the signature sound of guitars in different tunings. This one is again from Gordon.

Written somewhere between ’79 and ’81. This was one of my first songs written for the ARC. Recorded at Earth Media Studios on 3/4″ tape in the good old days one take recordings with no pitch adjustment. Great harmonies from Gordon and Craig made this song what it is.

A few weeks ago we went through a number of tapes and pulled some old classics into the system. This is one of Gordon’s songs captured live at either the Commercial or the Park Hotel.

Another rehersal recording from lower Rankin St. Somewhere in ’84
A great song that rolled out with a lot of energy whenever we played it. Good times……good times.
Possibly one of the last songs we worked on before the band’s break up. Not sure of the chronology there, but someone’s bound to know.

Feels like it’s going to snow tonight. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, it’s a great beginning.
Well here’s an absolute corker and one for the record books. Gaz and I heard this tonight for the first time in 25 years and we had shivers up our collective spines from start to finish. Kept playing it over and over and over. Wish we were back on that stage. Happy listening to all of you who remember……Gordon.

Have been away for a while busy with other things, time to update some stuff.
Here is another unearthed from Craig (Slim). Recorded on portable cassette (oh for the days of grunge technology) at lower Rankin st, Bathurst in the mid ’80’s. Out of a ‘Book for Boys’. Armed with only two guitars, primitive recording device and good ol’ doc R.
